About the Apprenticeship :

This role is not an apprenticeship. 

What we are looking for
Our ideal candidate is passionate about supporting the mental health and well-being of the client base we serve, particularly those on their apprenticeship and internship programmes.

You will be empathetic and inclusive and can create a safe space to support our clients to share their safeguarding and/or welfare issues. Your strong communication skills enable you to liaise with people at different levels and effectively communicate complex and sensitive matters.

You will have developed transferable skills from past work experiences as a mentor, teacher, counsellor, youth worker or coach supporting children or young people that will stand you in good stead in this role.

Main duties

  1. You will be the first point of call for safeguarding and welfare enquiries, recognising when to escalate.
  2. You will follow up on safeguarding incidents as necessary, adhering to current legislation and statutory obligations. This process may include conducting initial assessments and, if necessary, further follow-up meetings.
  3. You will develop and maintain relevant and up-to-date electronic records for various concerns impacting our young adults and liaise with employers, senior managers, external agencies, and internal staff as required.
  4. You will support and develop positive partnerships and networks.
  5. You will help deliver a consistent safeguarding service across the business through regular training, newsletters, and client feedback on policies and procedures.

Weekly Wage:

£25,000 per annum

Working Week:

Monday - Friday 09:00am - 5pm

Qualifications Required:

Teaching, counselling, coaching, or mentoring qualifications are helpful but not mandatory. High on our agenda is a demonstrable passion for the role evidenced in your career to date and an inclusive approach to working with and supporting our clients, employers and colleagues.
